In Santa Fe, I Ran Into A Hibiki 12 Year Old Suntory Whiskey

12 year old hibiki suntory whiskey photographed by orange county lifestyle photographer, John Ussenko.

While visiting some friends in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the pleasant conversion about life, photography, architecture, and weather quickly turned into whiskey. I’m not well versed in the language of whiskey so I grabbed some verbiage from the distiller’s site.

Even though it kills me to see misspellings and trying to keep within the proper copyright rules of the original author, this is what is cited verbatim on their site: “Kanzen”or complete, Hibiki is a harmonious blend of innumerous malt and grain whiskies which are meticulosly blended to create a full orchestra of flavors and aromas.

Seductive, blossoming and enigmatic, Hibiki celebrates an unrivaled art of blending, fine craftsmanship and a sense of luxury from the House of Suntory.

Blossoming. Exuberant. A dazzling, echoing roundness.
