Today, is different. Most mornings, I wake up to the idea of where to shoot and as of now, nothing comes to mind. Maybe coffee will help. I jump on the 405 and stop at some random place on the east side of Long Beach for a cup of organic coffee, which by the way, was made incorrectly. Not that I’m a pour-over-coffee-snob, I just want my coffee to be made correctly.
And pour-overs are technical. You have to know what you’re doing to get the perfect pour-over. And for those who do not know; a pour-over is a simple plastic or glass contraption that you place over a container. You add a filter, then the coffee grounds, and then slowly add the hot water all the while, stirring and watching your timer. That’s right. You have to time this process. If done correctly, you end up with an exceptional cup of coffee. The barista that messed it up was one of those nice guys though and I decided to be cool about it and continue on my adventure.
